ABOUT AFRICAN YOUNG ORATORS

The African Young Orators is a public speaking/oratory
competition designed for students between the ages of 16 and
21 to inculcate the basic imperatives of effective
communication; ultimately impacting improved leadership
skills, development of poise, and accurate word usage. It allows
students to develop their critical thinking and communication
skills through its unique method of orators choosing their own
topic, which is related to the overall theme.

This programme emphasizes the importance of
communication because being erudite begins with
communication, and communication entails the transaction of
ideas, using words and symbols as a fundamental platform.

The African Young Orators is about leadership that is
empowered through education, with inspirational attitude to
bring about development, which showcases the strong
connect that leadership and learning are indispensible to each.

The African Young Orators is conceived to fully develop the
potentials in leaders for today and tomorrow in a most
unconventional manner through competition and bonding.
